On Sunday, October 18, 2020, in Ou Ta Ki Commune, Thmor Koul District, Battambang Province, Amru Rice Company, through the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF), donated 10 tons of rice to 650 families affected by flood. The donation ceremony was attended by Oknha Song Saran, CEO of Amru Rice and President of the CRF.
The ceremony was also attended by His Excellency Kao Thach, Royal Government Delegate in charge of the Director the Agriculture and Rural Development Bank (ARDB) , H.E Oknha Phou Puy (PHD), Parliamentary of Battambang Province and also the Executive Advisor to CRF, together with the Vice-Chairman, the Board of Directors and the CRF’s members represent the various rice mills in Battambang Province.
Oknha Song Saran expressed his heartfelt gratitude toward the generosity of all contributors, also this humanitarian activity represented the spirit of “Khmer help Khmer, Khmer for Khmer” and also expressed his heartfelt gratitude specially for the enthusiasm CRF members this flood emergency situation. Oknha Saran also expressed his concern over the damage of farmers’ rice crops, not only in Battambang but in some other affected provinces.
Oknha Saran also thanks ARDB for deeply support and assistance from the Royal Government’s loan to help rice mills buying more paddy from farmers, especially during difficult times such as flood, and the upcoming harvest season.
